Starboy is the follow-up to 2015’s Grammy-Award winning, 3X-platinum Beauty Behind The Madness. The title track “Starboy” featuring Daft Punk made history, capturing the record for “Most Release Weekend Streams Ever.” Between Thursday, Sept. 22, and Sunday, Sept. 25, 2016, it amassed more than 17 million streams globally and 6.5 million streams in the United States. It also garnered honors for “One Week Most Added Record of All Time in North America,” becoming the No. 1 most added record at Top 40, Rhythm, Urban and Hot Adult Contemporary radio stations — yet another history-making accolade.
Academy Award-nominated, two-time Grammy Award-winning multiplatinum singer-songwriter The Weekend — Canadian vocalist Abel Tesfaye — has racked up five Top Ten pop singles prior to Starboy‘s arrival.
